Estate Settlement

A better way to navigate estate settlement — for the families facing it, and the institutions working through it alongside them.

Estate settlement touches nearly every family, yet remains largely unchanged and surprisingly under-served. Executors are handed significant responsibility, often for the first time, at the worst possible moment. And institutions — banks, brokerages, insurers, and beyond — face the same gap from the other side, managing risk one estate at a time with no shared rails to rely on.

We're currently working closely with a select group of partners to shape what comes next.

About

Ridgeline was founded by Andy Sheehan, who spent over two decades at Experian and Mastercard building businesses sharing a common purpose: take something overwhelming and make it navigable. Mortgage underwriting, car buying, small business payments, credit score improvement — complex, high-stakes processes that families and businesses deserved to have simplified.

The idea for Ridgeline came from lived experience. When Andy and his wife navigated the settlement of her mother's estate, they found themselves surrounded by capable professionals — and yet somehow still felt on their own. Each advisor played their part. Every institution started the process from scratch, with no visibility into what the others already knew. No one owned the full picture. The weight fell entirely on the family.

The moment someone is named executor, the weight of it lands immediately. Ridgeline exists to help carry that weight.
